Hal Adkins ain't normal, but he sure is funny. While reading the book, I found myself laughing, groaning and yes, even sometimes a wince, because he'll touch on a truth in a funny way. This is a wonderful book and a real treat to read. Recommend highly.
Looking for some very thoughtful, deeply philosophic writings about the world in general? Move on, this is not such a book!
If, however, you're in search of what constitutes some very thoughtful, deeply philosophic `world as it really is' kind of thing then stop looking - you've found it.
This is a book that incorporates the best Hal Adkins's mind can come up with and it's a real shame that's all there is to it. The great thing is that Hal's best will cause innumerable chuckles; quite a few guffaws; a lot of short and non-introspective reflection and a deeper sleep due to fatigue from laughing so much. In other words, it's well worth reading.
Kind of reminds me of a book that came out in the late 50's titled `Where did you go? Out. What did you do? Nothing.' That one became a bestseller as I recall and this one is in the same vein.
A fun read!
